Substance Abuse Prevention: Community Projects

Healthy Communities of the Capital Area provides support and resources to local community partners, including law enforcement, schools and youth organizations, parent groups, and other organizations to increase service area wide substance abuse prevention efforts.

Ongoing and recent projects and services offered to communities include:

-Training and other services for alcohol and tobacco retailers
-Training and support for new users of the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PMP)
-Support for community groups wanting to take action against underage drinking and unsafe drinking by young adults
