Healthy Communities of the Capital Area

Local Health Officers

Local Health Officers (LHO's) are an important part of maintaining and securing our communities Public Health. They safe guard our health by responding to health issues. They can only do this if you help them be aware of them. In case of infectious diseases and other threats to public health, LHO's keep the Maine Center for Disease Control (MeCDC) up to date on what is happening in our communities. The MeCDC can then respond to health threats more quickly.

As time goes on, HCCA will add more information about our Local Health Officers and resources for both the public and LHO's.

Here is a list of HCCA's Local Health Officers.
