Mary Frances Bartlett
MaryFrances Bartlett, Liaison to the Bureau of Health and Welfare for the City of Augusta, serves as both the Local Health Officer and is a member of the city's Emergency Preparedness and Response Team. The Bureau of Health and Welfare administers the General Assistance Program, often called the "safety net", for those in our community who find themselves without the ability to provide basic necessities for their households. Mary Frances serves as an executive board member of the Maine Welfare Directors Association and of Crisis and Counseling Services, Inc.; on the Advisory Board of the combined A.H.A, and M.H.A. Family Self-Sufficiency Programs, K.V.C.A.P. Families In Transition Program, Southern Kennebec Domestic Abuse Council Legal Issues Task Force and the Augusta Social Services Advisory Group. In addition, MaryFrances serves on the Augusta Homeless Action Team, and several Maine State Housing Authority groups focused on preventing and eliminating homelessness.
Rebecca West Dick
Becky Dick is a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant, providing Occupational Therapy Services to children ages 0-5. With a Masters in Education and a Ph.D. in Health Administration, she has very broad background in healthcare, education and administration. She lives in Winthrop.
Dick Dyer, Dyer Associates in Winthrop, Maine Since 1981, Dick Dyer, APR, has been practicing public relations from his offices in Winthrop, Maine. His work has included the Maine Departments of Conservation, Human Services and the Maine Arts Commission and over the past 20 years he has consulted on behavioral public relations for many corporate, non-profit and not for profit organizations nationally. He and his wife Mary have two children and three grand children.
Robert Gordon
Robert Gordon is the Executive Director of the Kennebec Valley United Way, which raises and allocates funds to 52 local human service programs. The United Way also emphasizes volunteerism through sponsorship of the annual community 'Days of Caring' with the high school students of Gardiner, Augusta, and Winthrop. The 'First Call 211 telephone information and referral program is co-sponsored with the United Ways across the state. Rob is a member of the Board of Human Endeavors which sponsors "Capital Kids/Boys & Girls Club for Teens" in Augusta, and is currently chairing the Augusta Social Services Advisory Group.

Superintendent of Schools MSAD #11 in Gardiner, ME
Patricia Hopkins is in her first year as Superintendent of Schools at MSAD #11, serving Gardiner, Pittston, Randolph and West Gardiner. Her education includes a BS in Business Education at Husson College in Bangor, a Masters in Educational Administration and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Administration, both from the University of Maine in Orono.
Pat’s career has included, 1) Business Ed. Teacher, Athletic Director, Chapter I Teacher, Administrative Assistant, Coach at North Haven Community School, 2) Business Ed. Teacher and Coach at Oak Hill High School, 3) Assistant Superintendent of Schools/Business Manager and Interim Superintendent School Union #51, Chelsea, 4) Assistant Superintendent of Schools and Superintendent of Schools in Five Town CSD/MSAD #28, Camden/Rockport.
She is and has been a member of numerous community organizations including the West Bay and Gardiner Rotaries; Communities That Care, Knox County; Mid-Coast Mental Health Annual Symposium, and Study Circles. She was awarded the Maine School Superintendent’s Association Leadership Award, and was nominated Superintendent of the Year in 2006 and 2007.
Pat makes her home in nearby Somerville with her husband. She has two grown stepchildren and four grandchildren. She spends her free time gardening, knitting, and reading.
Kala Ladenheim, PhD, MaineHealthPolicy.Info in Gardiner, Maine Kala Ladenheim does health policy and public health research as Maine Health Policy dot Info and works part time at Medical Care Development, Inc. in Augusta. After considering a medical research career in college, she decided we already had the science to be healthy, but what we didn't know was how to make sure everyone got a fair share of what they needed for health. She switched to working on policy--how decisions are made, in communities and governments, about how things are done and who gets what.
When not being a health policy wonk Kala gardens avidly, hunts mushrooms, and makes jewelry that she sells as part of the Gardiner Artwalk. She lives in Gardiner with her husband Robert Saunders.

William McPeck
Bill McPeck has been a member of SKHC since 1997. He is the Director of Employee Health and Safety for Maine State Government where he uses the resources and alliances formed within the SKHC network to enrich his employee wellness efforts. Bill is a founding member of the Mid-Maine Worksite Wellness Council and serves as a member of the MaineGeneral Medical Center Community Health Board, the Maine Cardiovascular Health Program Worksite Component Advisory Board and the Advisory Committee of the Kennebec Valley Diabetes Care Initiative. Bill resides in St. Albans where he is Vice-Chair and Secretary of the St. Albans Planning Board and Vice-Chair of the St. Albans Senior Citizen Housing Corporation Board.
Emilie van Eeghen, Vice President Behavioral Health, MaineGeneral Health
Emilie van Eeghen, MBA, is Vice President of Behavioral Health Services at MaineGeneral Health. She has been responsible for behavioral health services at HealthReach Network (a subsidiary of MaineGeneral Health) since 1987; since 2000 she has also been responsible for all inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse services at MaineGeneral Medical Center (a subsidiary of MaineGeneral Health).

Emilie serves as treasurer and past president of the Maine Association of Substance Abuse Programs, president of Mid-Maine Behavioral Health, president of the Maine Film Center, member of the MHA Mental Health Council, and member of Waterville Main Street Board of Directors. She participates in the BHI Metrics Project with Quality Counts and the Daniel Hanley Center for Health Leadership Accelerating Clinical Information-Sharing Steering Committee.
Emile has three children (a college track coach, a psychologist and a pediatrician) and two darling grandchildren. She and her husband tend 200 acres of forest and garden land in Canaan.
Frederick White
Frederick A. White, PhD, Licensed Psychologist, Doctor Fred White has been providing counseling services in the Augusta area since 1991, first as a Psychology Intern, then as Psychologist and Director of Training, at Togus VAMC. He has practiced as an Independent Clinical and Consulting Psychologist in Augusta since 1996. He has provided a wide range of training, consulting, and coaching services and programs to local, state and national organizations between 1980 and the present.
Fred is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), is Past President of the Maine Psychological Association (MePA), is the APA Disaster Response Network Coordinator for the State of Maine, has served as the Treasurer of the Maine AIDS Alliance, and is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
He lives in North Augusta with his wife Debbi in their sometimes empty-nest. His personal renewal activities include recording and performing traditional American, French and Celtic music, enjoying folk-dancing, woodworking, home making, bicycle touring, hiking, marine sports, and motorcycling (yes, we wear helmets).
Jim Wood
Jim Wood is the Transportation Director for the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program. KVCAP provides public bus services and community social service transportation for Kennebec and Somerset Counties. He has worked in the community transportation field for over 30 years. He has served as President of the Maine Transit Association (1999-2001) and has worked with a variety of committees including the Augusta Community and Social Services Advisory Committee, Region 4 RTAC Committee, Neighborhood Rideshare Development Committee, Governor's Senior Mobility Task Force.
Mark Yerrick , Secretary Mark Yerrick is the Chief Executive Officer of the Kennebec Valley YMCA where he assumed his position in June, 2008. His passion has been to coach youth sports in the area for the past 20 years and he continues to be involved with the Augusta Babe Ruth League and serves as its Treasurer. Mark's professional experience includes over 20 years experience in the Healthcare equipment and facilities maintenance field. He holds certifications as A Biomedical Equipment Technician, Plant Maintenance Manager and Healthcare Facilities Manager. He resides in Manchester with his wife Suzie and has two children, Thomas and Ashley and two step daughters, Nicole and Julie Nadeau.
